On Thursday November 28th, the preview issue of The Manifesto was presented at a beautiful dinner in London. The launch was held in the upstairs dining room of The Haggerston, where an intimate gathering of 40 music industry and creatives were hosted by Virgin EMI’s President of Music - Mike Smith.
Guests were treated to a menu by Check On Co-Founder and rising food entrepreneur Terry Edwards; including golden beetroot soup with hazelnut and mint pesto, together with Goosnargh cornfed chicken breast with baby leeks and wild mushrooms, in a champagne sauce and tarragon foam. The Haggerston delighted everyone with tunes from their radio station, and a specially designed chocolate orange cocktail from their newly opened bar.
The night played out with speeches made by Mike Smith and The Manifesto’s co-founders Michelle Sullivan and Beatrice Hurst.
An intimate atmosphere was created through thoughtfully positioned Byredo candles, together with REN products in the bathrooms.
The most notable detail of the evening were the people in attendance. They included Secretly Canadian’s Hannah Overton, Primary Talent’s Howard Gray, Passe Promotion’s Rachel Graham, Sony ATV’s Janice Brock, Scruffy Bird Management’s Lucy Fitzgerald, X-Ray Touring’s Josh Javor and English writer/ producer Fraser T Smith.
